Some family secrets are better off hidden.

I thought I was done with drama, but it turns out drama wasn’t done with me. A coven has abducted Gramps, demanding I hand over our "super secret" family heirloom if I want him back alive. Except the amulet has been destroyed, and they don’t believe me.

While I scramble to find a solution, bounty hunter Trace Wyatt sends my world into another spin. He’s not okay. The consequences of saving my life are wearing on him, draining him, and although he offers to help me, I don’t know if he’s up for it. Especially not when it turns out Gramps’s abduction might be linked to Trace’s dark past.

My family is in trouble, I’m falling for a man who’s struggling to hold on to himself, and somewhere in there I need to keep my pub afloat. It’s too much, but I need to figure this out before the world spins out of control.

Absolutely my new favorite urban fantasy series!!

These characters have captured my heart in such a big way! Alyssa and her family-- both biological and found-- are a force to be reckoned with, and unhesitatingly work together to overcome the story's terrifyingly evil villains. Watching them fight for Trace purely because Alyssa cares for him is beautiful and the way families should be. This book is just spectacular and very hard to put down. The ending is lovely and introduces the next book in such a way that I can't wait to read it!

**ARC READER - OPINIONS ARE MY OWN**

Alyssa Mooney has spent a whole lot of time maintaining and managing the bar that was once her grandfather’s. With his blessing, she’s poured her heart and soul into what has become one of the cornerstones of the broader magical community. As the owner of Mooney’s, with her bestie Simon by her side, she’s grown the business, updated what needed updating, and found her personal space that she calls her home away from home.

Is this what she thought she’d be doing 7 years ago? Nope. Is this the career she’d planned on going into? Nope again. Does she love the hell out of it and take fierce pride in providing a safe zone for the magically inclined and the mortals who remain blissfully unaware to mingle, drink, and enjoy the freshly renovated ambiance? Oh absolutely. And there’s the issue of Trace Wyatt still sticking around…more or less. Hmm.

Lately though? It’s a lot more less. Since the events of “Witch Accused,” Trace has been mostly AWOL (though on her mind) as he continues to contain the souls once contained in the amulet. It’s a tough job, and honestly, Trace Wyatt is probably the only witch who can do it. But it’s taking its toll. When Gramps is suddenly abducted and a cabal of spirit witches demands the amulet for his life, Trace is back to help (as best he can), and it’s time to get down to business.

“Witch Possessed” is the second full novel in the newest series by Krista Walsh, “The Hour of Witches” series. The action is fast-paced, and the reader who fell in love in the prequel novella won’t believe how much more in love they’ll fall with the characters. When you mix all of that in with a bit of mystery, a slow-burn romance that’s starting to heat up, and some amazing world-building, you’ve got a book that you won’t want to put down and that will leave you DESPERATE for more! I cannot possibly recommend this book enough, 10/10!

I received a free copy of this ebook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

OMG... She did it again. Miss Walsh is the mastermind behind awesomeness in her writing. She pulled me in willingly into the depths of Witch Possessed and took me for the ride of thrilling excitement of ups, downs, surprises and having a mind blowing ending that I didn't see coming.
Allyssa Mooney and her family are a force to be reckoned with when one of there own goes missing.
I loved how Allyssa and Trace Wyatt worked together along with the whole Mooney Coven to prove that power is great in numbers when you work together as a unit.
The magical action was superb and mixed with the slow burn romance that is building between the FMC and the MMC is amazing. I loved the pull and strength that each used to stay functioning as a working team and not let their emotions blind them for the task that was at hand.
So, if you love Slow Burn, Lots of Magical Battles, Good vs. Evil then you really need to read this series.
I loved reading Witch Possessed and can't wait for the next book to find out what is going to happen next for Trace and Allyssa.

I have been eagerly awaiting this book and I did a little happy dance when I saw the notification for the ARC in my email on a Thursday. I waited until the weekend to start it so that I could read it uninterrupted. I was not disappointed, this was another fun read and great addition to the series.

When Trace called Alyssa, “my clever witch,” and they weren't even officially a couple?! It made me schoolgirl giddy. I just love those two. 🥰

I'm worried about Alyssa’s best friend Simon. I hope we get some answers in book 3.

Spell-binding!

Once I started reading “Witch possessed”, I found it hard to stop. Alyssa and Trace obviously care about each other and they are becoming closer. They are up against spirit magic and have to make a plan to rescue Gramps who has been kidnapped. Alyssa has to involve her family, and and the events move at such a pace that I could not put the book down until the end. It is great how Krista interweaves the information we gleaned in the first book with the action taking place now. But the threats are not over, the past is catching up with Trace and he will have to face his old enemies in the future. I am so looking forward to the next book.
